Basic no runners on receiving stance and drill; followed by basic technique for blocking balls in the dirt. Note different stance--runners on base or 2 strikes on batter--with butt higher up and feet spread wider. Note throwing hand behind mitt when blocking (last few examples the catchers could do a better job shielding their throwing hand with the mitt while waiting for the ball--would prefer to see our catchers hold the hand balled up in a fist touching the back of the mitt while waiting for the pitch).
